SEARCH BEGINS ANEW FOR KIDNAPPED TWIN

...Rifat's twin, Canadian Rifat Mohammed Rifat, known to family as Ray, was kidnapped April 8 in Iraq and remains Canada's only known hostage.
His disappearance did not have the political impact of hostages such as American Nicholas Berg or Kenneth Bingley, who, in a videotape recording, pleaded with Prime Minister Tony Blair to withdraw British troops from Iraq, in an effort to save his life.
Nor did his kidnapping resonate worldwide like the abduction of British citizen Margaret Hassan, director of CARE International in Iraq and a woman who devoted much of her life to the Iraqi people.
The Iraqi-Canadian Rifat, a former Toronto resident, now instead is relegated to a list of more than 20 kidnapped foreigners whose whereabouts are still unknown. To his family, it's the not knowing that has taken its toll...
