Reacting To Discrimination
If you believe you have been the victim of discrimination,
you should:
- Remain calm.
- Report the discrimination to the appropriate authorities.
- Document the discrimination.
Save memos. Keep a detailed journal. Note the presence of witnesses.
Keep copies of all correspondence. Create a paper trail.
- Ask witnesses to give you their name and contact information.
- Consider contacting a lawyer.
- Report the incident to CAIR-CAN.
To file an
incident report with CAIR-CAN, you can do
so online or send it to us at the address below and include the words
"Discrimination incident" in the subject line. Please submit
it with supporting documents (such as police reports,
etc.) to:
